Are you seeing the beauty everywhere? We have reached the peak of the season - a time to truly relish in what the promise has produced. This is also true of ourselves. I am so thankful for this spring season I have had with you. We have connected in completely new ways. We have grown and shown each other immense generosity by the ways we make consistent time to be together and bare witness our budding hopes/dreams/desires. It’s been a journey, you know?
This spring, we focused intently on choosing the right seeds to sow…which of our hopes we wanted to nurture to life. We know from experience that we cannot choose them all or none of them would sprout. Through that discernment, we clarified our guiding principles and invested our attention towards nourishing the soil conditions so that our hopes could sprout and thrive. We nourished the soil with love, awe, enthusiasm, and energy from the elements. We have watered, tended, spoken to and waited for the sun to beckon those hopes out from the cold dark recesses of our imagination and into the warm light, for others to see/hear/interact with. Now that our desires have taken tangible form - what now?
We need to prepare our hopes to interact with the world. To teach them how to lead with confidence, while also remaining open to receive new information that can support their growth. Much like the living-system that is ‘pollination.’ Now that our hopes have fought to be here, they must learn how to communicate.
Think of a baby just learning how to communicate. Their words don’t sound like words yet, but if we stir our embers of intelligence, we can decipher the information they are putting out for us. Same applies here.
As we embark on the summer season, we must be courageous and visionary so that we can drop into witness consciousness and let our tangible desires begin communicating with the world. We must be reminded of the age old saying, “good things take time’ and caution ourselves that the most powerful words in the universe are the ones we use to talk to ourselves. So, if the transmitting of information is unusual or clunky at first, remember that other modes of communication can support. Just as the patterns on a whale shark’s skin have adapted overtime to help them blend in with patterns of sun-dappled water or how luna moths use chemical cues to find one another under the cover of night, our hopes may express themselves in innovative ways.
We are all in process this summer, so be the mirror of greatness and reflect back to others’ hopes and desires the kindness and patience honorable for anything in its youth.
